March 27, 2020
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We had our first online Sunday Service on March 22, 2020 at 4 pm via Zoom meeting. Praise the Lord, we found a way to gather together for worship, listen to His words, pray, and even after the service fellowship as well as check and support each other!! We had 25 connections with a total close to 60 people!
For Sunday, March 29, 2020 we will again have our online service through zoom. I would cordially invite everyone to join. To assure smooth service and everyone has time to say hi to each other, our zoom connection will start at 3:45 pm. Service will be at our regular 4:00pm start. We are looking forward to see you all!
Even though we do not meet in person, our church still has financial obligations. Additionally, we are also creating a safety net to help our congregation during this unprecedented time. If any of us are in need for some help, we encourage you to talk to Pastor Bill. Session has delegated him to be the focal for our internal safety net helpline.
Currently, we have 3 ways to continue your offering and tithing:
1. Online via Zelle
email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Mailing the check to (please do not mail cash)
Logos Presbyterian Church
111 NE 120th St, Seattle, WA 98125
3. Online via EPC
Thank you so much for your offering. May this offering enable us to continue God’s work in this uncertain time.
On behalf of session and Pastor Bill, we are looking forward to see you all online through Zoom for these coming Sundays.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” ~ Deuteronomy 31:6.

March 18, 2020
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
On Tuesday, March 17, 2020 the session with few members met and tested “Zoom” – online video meeting and interaction program (https://zoom.us/). After the testing, the session decided to use “Zoom” for Sunday Service March 22, 2020. The information to join the online meeting using Zoom is provided above using
Our decision was influenced in part by significant community-wide efforts to minimize the spread of the virus by limiting exposure to large group gatherings. As you are probably aware on Monday, March 16, 2020, Governor Jay Inslee announced statewide shutdown of restaurants, bars, and expanded social gathering limits.
Quoted from :
Gov. Jay Inslee announced today an emergency proclamation that mandates the immediate two-week closure of all restaurants, bars, and entertainment and recreational facilities, as well as additional limits on large gatherings. The new orders go into effect at midnight tonight and will be in place through March 31.
The announcement comes after the recent spike in numbers of COVID-19 cases in the state and across the country.
As reminded by Pastor Bill, “This is an unusual time. We are choosing to act cautiously but not in fear. We know that fear is the opposite of faith and that the Lord does not want us to be anxious, but to look to Him for direction, guidance, and wisdom.”
In closing, I would like share verses from Matthew 6: 25-34 as reminder for us
NOT TO WORRY.
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
I would like to strongly encourage everyone to join via “Zoom” for the First Logos Presbyterian Church Online Sunday Service on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 4 pm PST. After the service, everyone has a chance to interact, provide update and request prayers.

March 11, 2020
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
The session met last night and after much reflective discussion decided to cancel church activities for the remainder of this week including Sunday service on March 15. We are hoping and planning to resume church activities next week including Sunday worship on March 22.
Our decision was influenced in part by significant community-wide efforts to minimize the spread of the virus by limiting exposure to large group gatherings. As you are probably aware, some large corporations in the Seattle area are telling their employees to work from home. Some school districts are closing schools in their area to contain the spread of the virus. We also know that the senior population is more at risk of contracting covid-19 along with those who have certain pre-existing health conditions.
This is an unusual time. We are choosing to act cautiously but not in fear. We know that fear is the opposite of faith and that the Lord does not want us to be anxious, but to look to Him for direction, guidance, and wisdom. We want to remind everyone to follow the CDC recommendations, and if you feel sick or have any flu-like symptoms to refrain from attending social gatherings.
Please stay in communication with each other! “This too shall pass” but in the meantime encourage one another through phone calls, emails and social media. This is another “sign” that we are not as “in control” of our lives as we would like to believe. As Presbyterians we believe in the “Sovereignty of God” and that means, in simple terms, that He is in charge!
Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me…..” (Matthew 28:18)
I’m glad our destiny is in the Lord’s hands. Let this be a cause of rejoicing and peace!
Feel free to contact me to chat or share prayer requests!
The peace of Christ be with you!
